Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
CACFP is a federal program that is administered through the NYS Department of Health, Department of Nutrition and available through the Child Care & Development Council. CACFP reimburses providers for nutritious snacks and meals that they serve to children in their care. In order to receive reimbursement, the snacks and meals must meet USDA guidelines. All registered, licensed, and legally exempt providers are eligible to participate in the program.

Sample Reimbursement: Family Child Care serves Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks for 6 children per day, 5 days a week, 4 weeks per month equates to $688.80 per month. [($1.66+$3.15+$.93) x 6 x 5 x 4] = $688.80
